This oak bowl was charred on the outside to highlight the various textures of the oak grain. The interior of the bowl was embellished using fractal burns. Each lightning-like pattern inside was hand burned by directing an electric current through the wood. The current carves its path, following the contours of the wood surface. The rim of the bowl consists of maple segments that are affixed to the oak rim. This artistic creation would make a wonderful addition to any tabletop as home decor and could even serve as a fruit bowl in your kitchen. The bowl is 10 inches by 3 inches.
